I actually made my first appointment with Dr. Donaldson in a couple weeks. I don’t need to see before and after pictures to choose a physician. I really thought his media posts on his site helped me choose him. I felt he had enough exposure on the news to be deemed confident to do my breast augmentation. I also read all the great reviews on him from previous patients. I can’t wait to have my breast augmentation with Dr. Donaldson!

Pictures do drive people to the Doctors websites. I feel like a Doctor should pay the patient for the use of the patient’s before and after photos. After all – modeling is compensated work just like plastic surgery is. Models who do ad work get paid. I think it is ludicrous to pay someone for your surgery and then he gets to use your image for free when that image puts dollars into his pocket.

Hi Earl – most of the time patients are so happy with their results and feel so much better and more confident, they naturally go out and get a new hairstyle, try some new clothes, and many many get a tan. We see lots of tans in lots of after pictures. Especially after body plastic surgery, the patients are loving the opportunity to go to the beach and look great in a new bikini!

In the example above from Newport Beach Rhinoplasty, the lighting, angle, and hairstyle between the photos is different in such a way that it seems likely to be deliberate (pull your hair back for the “before”, hit the salon before we shoot the “after”). She even got a tan for the “after” photo.

It just doesn’t seem like a fair comparison of photos, and makes me wonder why they feel the need to dress it up so much.
